Introduction
Solid Cart is component for Joomla CMS, therefore you need install Joomla v1.5 or v1.6 first.

Solid Cart Installation
Solid Cart Requirements:
- Appropriate version of Joomla (v1.5 or 1.6) installed
- PHP5.2 or higher with OpenSSL support
- Apache 2.x or higher
- MySQL 4.1 .x or higher
- Zend Optimizer v3.0 (we may issue ionCube version by customers's request)
Getting the Solid Cart Package:
First you need to download Solid Cart package (no site registration required)
Automatic Installation
As example we'll take installation procedure of Solid Cart v1.0.0 for Joomla 1.6
After download first unzip package to your local hard drive. Package conteins three files:
- com_solidcart-1.0.0-J1.6.tar.gz - Solid Cart component
- plg_system_solidcart-1.0.0-J1.6.tar.gz - plugin helper to display standard pop-up windows with Zen-Cart images
- plg_users_solidcart-1.0.0-J1.6.tar.gz - plugin for managing user accounts
Login to your Joomla site admin panel with Administrator access
Choose menu item Extensions -> Extension Manager
In the Upload Package File section select the path to com_solidcart-1.1.0-J1.6.tar.gz (file name may vary) than click button (Upload & Install).
Fils size is approximately 3Mb, it will take some time to load on the server.
When installation complete message : Installing component was successful will be displayed.
Next you need install plug-ins that are included in the package:
plg_system_solidcart-1.0.0-J1.6.tar.gz and plg_users_solidcart-1.0.0-J1.6.tar.gz
Plug-ins installation in Jumla is similar as a components installation
After successful plug-ins installation you must enable them.
To do this go to Extensions -> Plug-in Manager
Creating menu item to display your store
To display your store on the website you need create an associated to Solid Cart menu item.
Let's create menu item to Top Menu. Select Menus -> Top -> Add New Menu Item
Choose type Solid Cart and fill the rest of necessary fields
Request, obtain and install license file
One of the Solid Cart's propagation conditions is binding it to domain where it should work. This task carried out by Solid Cart licensing system. Component verifying valid license through utility file license.xml. Without this file component will work wihout restrictions only for localhost domain. If you run component without license on live server message "License Violation" will be displayed.
You may try component for 30 days using trial license.
Trial licenses generated automatically on-line. You may generate trial license unlimited number of times but duration of validity period counted from the date of the first generation.
You may generate trial license from Joozen.net (you browser should support iframes) or from solid-cart.com . To generate license you must specify domain (without WWW characters). After clicking Submit button license will be generated and you will get license file to download. License will work for specified domains and it's subdomains.
Futher Shop Configuration
To futher customization and configuration select: Components -> Solid Cart from Joomla Administration's top menu
Solid Cart's control panel is fimilar to Zen-Cart users store admin panel.
