Download our Joomla ecommerce shopping carts component and Unpack First
Package contains:
- 1 Component (com_zencart.zip)
- 1 Login module for Joomla (mod_zenlogin.zip)
Login to Joomla Administrator panel and click to Extention ===> Install/Uninstall
Mode One (Not Recomended for most)
Browse file com_zencart.zip (***component's file name may vary) and click Upload file & install
If your site run with PHP Safe mode or max_execution_time is to low you may receive following error:
In this case please use the mode Two
Mode Two (Recomended)
Open FTP connection to your Joomla site, locate and open tmp folder and upload com_zencart.zip to the server.
Go to Extention ===> Install/Uninstall and insert the link leading to your tmp folder. (Change yoursite.com to your website address) and click install
***Install URL for:
Current version 1.1.0 should be: http://yoursite/tmp/com_zencart-1.1.0-J1.5.tar.gz
Now you should see screen indicating pre-installation Success
Now you may choose one of the folowing options: GO TO THE SHOP to go directly to the shop, or INSTALL SAMPLE PRODUCTS to install Zen-Cart demo products and categories.
This process will take some seconds. Please DO NOT interrupt it!!!
Last step: JooZen login module installation.
From Extention ===> Install/Uninstall browse file mod_zencart_login.zip and click Upload file & install
After-Install configuration
You can find JooZen admin panel on Componentst ===> Zen-Cart
Module configuration
Go To Extentions ===> Module Manager, find Zen-Cart Login, configure and enable.
Disable standard Joomla login module!
Test Module from frontend
Assign Menu Items
Go To Menus ===> Choose Menu where you wish to assign JooZen, and create new menu item with Zen-Cart menu type
Important: Only one menu item can be assigned to com_zencart. Any other menu items linked to the shop should be assigned as an external link.
Assign Menu Item to Customer Details
Go To Menus ===> User Menu, and change menu item "Your Details" type to External Link.
Insert the http://yoursite.com/index.php?option=com_zencart&Itemid=XX&main_page=account to the Link field (Change yoursite.com to your website address and XX to assigned to Zen-Cart Menu item ID) and apply changes.
Last, very important step.
Go to Global Configuration -> System and disable New User Account Activation
Now you are done!!!
